Abstract

The TOTEM Experiment will measure the total pp cross-section with the luminosity-independent
method and study elastic and diffractive scattering at the LHC.검증 바카라To검증 바카라achieve검증 바카라optimum검증 바카라forward
coverage for charged particles emitted by the pp collisions in검증 바카라the검증 바카라interaction검증 바카라point검증 바카라IP5,검증 바카라two
tracking telescopes, T1 and검증 바카라T2,검증 바카라are검증 바카라installed검증 바카라on검증 바카라each검증 바카라side검증 바카라in검증 바카라the검증 바카라pseudorapidity검증 바카라region
3.1 ≤ |η| ≤ 6.5, and Roman Pot stations will be placed at distances of ±147 m and ±220 m
from IP5 at LHC. Being검증 바카라an검증 바카라independent검증 바카라experiment검증 바카라but검증 바카라technically검증 바카라integrated검증 바카라into검증 바카라CMS,
TOTEM will first operate in standalone mode to pursue its own physics programme and at검증 바카라a
later stage together with CMS for a common physics programme.검증 바카라This검증 바카라communication검증 바카라will
