Abstract
  
Time-resolved laser spectroscopy and established x-ray methods have recently been
combined to probe the local electronic피망 바카라and피망 바카라molecular피망 바카라structure피망 바카라with피망 바카라femtosecond
x-ray pulses in time and energy. In the피망 바카라soft x-ray피망 바카라range,피망 바카라core-level피망 바카라transition피망 바카라are
particularly sensitive to valence-charge distributions and to chemical coordination of
and structure around피망 바카라lighter피망 바카라elements (C, N, O etc.)피망 바카라that피망 바카라are피망 바카라biologically피망 바카라relevant,
holding tremendous potential for following chemical bonding and the formation of new
molecular species in real time. This is particularly powerful for understanding molecular
dynamics in solution, where important chemistry occurs. We study the피망 바카라ultrafast피망 바카라spin
cross-over피망 바카라reaction피망 바카라in피망 바카라a피망 바카라solvated피망 바카라iron(II)피망 바카라complex피망 바카라by피망 바카라femtosecond피망 바카라soft x-ray
spectroscopy of the iron L-edges. Our recent피망 바카라results피망 바카라in피망 바카라combination피망 바카라with피망 바카라charge
transfer multiplet calculations reveal a wealth of information on피망 바카라the피망 바카라changes피망 바카라of피망 바카라the
electronic valence charge distributions, including피망 바카라changes피망 바카라in피망 바카라ligand-field피망 바카라splitting,
orbital delocalization and population, and the influence of ligand π-backbonding on
ultrafast timescales.
