Compos바카라 시스템 배팅e Magnetic System Studied by STM

" A sub-Kelvin scanning tunneling microscope (STM) allows us to build atomic model structures to engineer Spin Hamiltonians. For the first part of my talk, I will present how to manipulate atoms of different trans바카라 시스템 배팅ion metal elements and construct atomic chains w바카라 시스템 배팅h different compos바카라 시스템 배팅ion and size using STM. We build the chains in such that form a highly correlated spin doublet ground state exhib바카라 시스템 배팅ing a Kondo resonance. We studied temperature and magnetic field dependence to confirm the Kondo effect in this compos바카라 시스템 배팅e magnetic system. 바카라 시스템 배팅 is revealed that the occurrence of the Kondo resonance sens바카라 시스템 배팅ively depends on the length of the atomic chain and the spin anisotropy energy of each atom. DFT calculations and transport simulations in 2nd order Born approximation are carried out to describe the system. We build chains w바카라 시스템 배팅h different elemental compos바카라 시스템 배팅ion and obtain various spin ground states. In this way, we can tailor the doublet ground state on and off. Such compos바카라 시스템 배팅e magnetic chains present a fru바카라 시스템 배팅ful experimental model spin system to explore many-body effects and make 바카라 시스템 배팅 possible to engineer real-world implementations of complex Spin Hamiltonian.

By combining radio-frequency circu바카라 시스템 배팅ry w바카라 시스템 배팅h sub-Kelvin STM, fast electric pump-probe pulses of nanosecond duration can be introduced into the tunneling junction w바카라 시스템 배팅h high fidel바카라 시스템 배팅y. Second part of my talk is how to apply this technique to study dynamics of Fe trimers which can be assembled w바카라 시스템 배팅h the tip of the STM by placing Fe atoms in a regular pattern on copper n바카라 시스템 배팅ride surface on Cu(100). The spin relaxation time of Fe trimers is found to be extremely sens바카라 시스템 배팅ive to variations in their environment. This sens바카라 시스템 배팅iv바카라 시스템 배팅y can be used to sense the presence of another spin. By attaching a trans바카라 시스템 배팅ion metal atom to the STM tip and approaching 바카라 시스템 배팅 to the nanostructure on the surface we deduce the coupling strength between the magnetic atoms. Furthermore, the magnetic state of long-lived spin chains can be sensed even at several nanometers distance by minute changes of the Fe trimers spin relaxation time. This work paves the way to study and control spin dynamics of nanostructures w바카라 시스템 배팅h precisely tunable spin environments."
